Autumn Arrives at My Newborn Photography Studio in Hampshire
Autumn is coming to the newborn photography studio in Hampshire…..We didn’t really get much of a summer this year, did we? And now autumn arrives this month. It always feels like autumn is coming when the children go back to school. Some of my favourite things about autumn coming, are cosy nights and snuggling up. The falling of the summer leaves as they change to the gorgeous autumn colours of brown and orange. The pumpkins in the fields and children dressing up for Halloween trick or treat are just some of my favourite images that make me think of this time of year.
With summer coming to an end, I’ve loved planning my autumn marketing activities for the studio which I will start to launch in September. There is definitely something quite welcoming about being inside my studio on a cold and windy autumn day.
Choosing Your Colour Scheme
Before your newborn session, I will ask you to pick your colour scheme for your photography session. Here is a link to the colour templates to the lovely colour schemes that I have available. The burnt orange and chocolates colours are absolutely perfect for my autumn photography sessions. Noor and Nysa’s mummy chose the burnt orange colour for their lovely newborn photography session. I just love the tones in these photographs, and the crown of flowers by Rosalee are so beautiful.
Last year in lockdown, I made some cute little pumpkins to include in my autumnal photo sessions. They are so simple to create and they’re certainly a little different to other props that I use too.
I find it a lot easier to find and create props for little girl newborn photography sessions; it’s harder to find props for boys. That’s why, incorporating autumn leaves in a newborn photography session for a little boy is just perfect for an autumn photography session.
Christmas Present Ideas
Autumn newborn photography sessions are great for thinking ahead for Christmas presents for friends and family. Last year, I launched my lovely calendars – they were so popular to buy as Christmas present for loved ones and friends. Even though it is an autumn photography session, I include other props so particular images can be used for the calendar. For example, I include a red heart for February (Valentine’s), a bunny bonnet for Easter, and a cute little pumpkin for October.
I’ve got quite a few exciting things that I’ll be launching this month to celebrate the start of autumn. There will be a newborn photography competition being launched for mums and dads to win complimentary newborn photography sessions with me at my lovely newborn photography studio at Cams Hall. Here is an advanced link to the competition so you can get involved!
Autumn means we start to think about Christmas present ideas. Did you know that on the 16th of September it will be 100 days to Christmas? Without a doubt, photographs make perfect Christmas gifts. I will have limited Christmas photography sessions, so I’ll be sharing these in September. As there will be limited studio spaces, make sure you keep an eye out for my Christmas launch!
Some of you may have seen on my Facebook that I’m getting a gorgeous kitten in September – Richard! All being well, Richard should come to live with us on the 25th September. Richard is going to have his very own kitten photography session which I’m hoping may turn into a kitten photography business for me. Who knows, watch this space! I’m looking forward to sharing with you his kitten photographs later in the month.
Most of you know that in lockdown last year I started knitting my own photography outfits, such as bonnets. I’m sure my partner thinks I have knitting OCD! As my knitting experience has developed, so have the outfits that I knit. I have a whole box of yarn that I have planned outfits to create, so I’ll definitely be looking for newborn models to create some portfolio images to give other mums and dads ideas. This way I’ll be able to share with mums and dads what is available for them to choose for their very own newborn session.
I’m looking forward to creating some beautiful autumn images in the studio – see you soon!
