Fareham Newborn Baby Photographer Shares having goals in life and in business can make you rich in happiness…. I’ve always been someone who has a goal in mind. Whether in my personal life or business. I think having a goal definitely gives us some direction, and also something to motivate us to go to work.
In lockdown, I have to say that I found it hard not having a goal to strive towards. Especially in the first lockdown, as I didn’t know when I would be able to take my gorgeous baby photographs again. I could have worked on marketing my business, but without being able to make bookings in the diary, there didn’t seem little point; but eventually I made myself work on my business, as I knew that once we came out of lockdown, I would be very busy with lockdown babies.
Getting Back to Normality
Now things are getting back to a little bit of normality, apart from there being plenty of people getting the common cold this season, it’s time to focus on my personal life and business plan for 2022. It’s about dreaming high and living our best life to be truly rich in happiness.
For my business next year, I would really like to take some courses with some of the leading newborn photography specialists in the country. I’ve been a newborn photographer for over five years now, but I do believe that there is always something new you can learn. It’s about keeping my newborn photography skills fresh and the experience that my valued clients will value.
I was due to attend the newborn photography show in Coventry next week, but unfortunately as the trainer for the session I had booked on is from Australia, it got cancelled. I joined her online course too. Although I do love face to face training, online courses are still good. Over the coming months, I will be working on what enhancements I can make to my newborn photography experience for all of my lovely visiting families.
Part of working hard on my business is being able to gain a work/life balance so that I can enjoy my personal life too. As some of you already know, I recently got a gorgeous little kitten – Richard. We are enjoying click training at the moment. He’s doing amazing, he’s only been here two weeks and already responds to the ‘sit’ hand command.
I would so love to buy a property in France and spend time in France. It may be a dream, but that’s where our goals start, hey? Whether I do end up buying property or visit regularly on holiday, it’s always useful to know the language, so I’ve just started taking French lessons. It’s early days yet, but I really hope to be able to be communicate in French on holiday next year!
I feel at the moment, people are focusing on having the Christmas that they missed last year. And certainly, my diary is getting busy with Christmas bookings now. So, if you’re looking for a newborn, children or a family portrait for this year, do let me know. I’d love to welcome you to my lovely newborn photography studio at Cams Hall, and to create some beautiful images that you’ll be able to treasure, always.
