Keeping baby warm this November – Abbygale Rose 12 days old

[vc_row][vc_column][az_column_text]Each baby has perfect skin, round little bellies, tiny little fingers and toes. Every inch of a baby is very precious, and as a parent, you will know this. As a specialist newborn photographer and a mother myself, the safety of newborns at every session I shoot is very important to me. That is why it is very important to choose a professionally trained photographer to capture this amazing moment of your newborn baby’s life and to make sure that during the session your baby is safe at all times.

Abbygale’s mummy and daddy were looking for a newborn baby photographer in Hampshire that would give the beautiful photographs that they could treasure forever. Being South African, our warm British weather might seem like a winter to them so being snuggled up in a warm studio was perfect for them.

At my studio, I make sure I create a loving and safe environment. Not only for the babies but the new mums too. For many of the mums, this might be the first time they have left the house since giving birth. In the winter, I make sure the heating is turned up, as it’s very important to make sure the baby is warm enough, especially as your baby will be naked for most of the photographs. Babies love a warm room for the photo session, and the recommended temperature for a clothed baby would be 18/19 degrees Celsius. However, an undressed baby would feel more comfortable in a warmer room. I aim for around 23/25 Celsius. Making sure everyone feels snug as a bug. I have my friendly elephant thermometer that will ensure I have the temperature just right. A quick glance at my elephant during the shoot and I can adjust the temperature – not too hot, not too cold – just right! Be warned though I have some sleep deprived mummy and daddies to feel so cosy that they have a little doze! I love to see this as it shows me that mummy and daddy are totally relaxed with me taking care of their new precious bundle of joy.[/az_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_single_image image=”695″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_column_text]Another great way to make sure your baby is super snuggly during their shoot is with the use of props, beautiful blankets and clothing accessories.

In these images, you can see how the use of a simple winter hat or snowflake leggings can bring character to the image. It also brings to life the season your baby was born and celebrating that they are a winter baby. Some of my favourite winter props include soft bonnets, tassel hats, cocoons, knitted nappies, beanies and big fluffy blankets.

Also, I don’t think any baby could look any cuter by adding a huge hat with a pom pom. It just perfectly curls around the baby’s body.

When doing the shoot for Oliver (just four days old) mummy and I thought he didn’t feel relaxed ‘naked’ so we thought we would add a little pair of trousers to the photo shoot. Just the perfect fit! Just such an adorable newborn shoot with loungewear.

During a photo shoot, Mummy and I always adjust to what the baby feels comfortable with.[/az_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_single_image image=”697″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_single_image image=”696″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_column_text]Little Oliver… what a real cutie.

The simple bonnet was gentle and fluffy. It perfectly complimented her soft eyebrows and delicate eyelashes.  I found this little bonnet at the Newborn baby photography show early this year.  There were so many beautiful products but this delicate little bonnet was a must buy.

Abbygale Rose was a perfect model, and it was very difficult to pick images to showcase this month. Abbygale Rose, like all newborn babies, is a little miracle and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to photograph her. I enjoy working with all my mums and dads and capturing memories they can cherish forever.[/az_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_single_image image=”700″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_single_image image=”702″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][az_column_text]The winter is the perfect excuse to stay in, wrap up warm and snuggle your new baby.  This is such great bonding time, and there’s no better place to do it than your cosy warm home.

Winter babies are also believed to be happy babies. Not that you needed any more reason to be excited about your winter baby, but at least you know it’s going to be happy.
