Traditions and Black Friday
Newborn Photographer Fareham shares thoughts on traditions and Black Friday….Some of you might have seen on my facebook page that we recently visited the beautiful area of Windsor and had such an amazing time. I absolutely loved visiting Windsor castle and learning more about the history of our monarchy. One particularly special memory for me was learning about the monument in the chapel of Princess Charlotte, the only child of George IV, who died in childbirth. With George IV having no other heirs to the throne, this was the reason why Queen Victoria (Charlotte’s cousin) become queen. I guess the succession to the throne is a royal family tradition where the order in which they stand in line to the throne determines succession.
I imagine for most of us, one of our special traditions is Christmas, and now in November, we are starting to see the traditional Christmas advertisements slowly appear on TV screens and social media. My favourite is always the John Lewis one. Last year, for most of us, our Christmas probably wasn’t the normal, and I’m sure now we’re all very much looking forward to getting our traditional Christmas holidays back with our treasured family, friends and loved ones. I’m sure like me, you are starting to think about present ideas for friends and family. I know a number of my clients are looking to gift special portrait memories of their newborn baby to family as a Christmas gift. Like the portraits hanging on the wall in the castle, newborn portraits are just so special as a record of family history. For this reason, I have launched a very special offer for December for newborn photography sessions at my lovely newborn photography studio at Cams Hall and also an offer for children’s portraits.
We’ve just had Halloween and having Black Friday coming up very soon. I’m sure these aren’t traditional English traditions, but something we have adopted here in the UK as our traditions. For me, these events give me a great marketing opportunity to offer some amazing deals to my clients. I’m delighted to share with you here a sneak preview of my Black Friday newborn photography competition.
With lots of newborn bookings in the diary for November and December, I’m looking forward to capturing those special family memories that they will be able to treasure forever. I would love to hear from you which traditions are important to you, and what you are looking forward to most.
